Update...

I have abandoned my yo-yo quilt project....

Before you judge me as a quitter, let me explain!

I've started a NEW quilt project instead.  The whole purpose of the yo-yo quilt was to use of scraps of fabric that weren't big enough to make much else...and I realize that yo-yos weren't very fabric efficient.  I saw a scrappy quilt like this:

And fell in love with the randomness and the color and the white borders......and realized with the amount of fabric it takes to make ONE 2 inch fabric yo-yo, I can make THREE 2 inch quilt squares...and so the cutting has begun...

I know, it's a little looking stack...but it will make 21 nine-patch squares for my quilt...and since I only need 120 squares for a queen sized quilt...I'm 1/6 of the way there...much closer than I was on my yo-yo's...

Plus, sewing them together will be a MILLION times faster...mmmm...scrappy makes me happy...
