Textures Book

A million years ago (okay, just one year) I posted about how I was making Bee a textured book.  If you've been reading my blog since the beginning, you might remember it.  If not, you can see the started pages HERE.

I finally finished it!

I had to hand-sew the yellow binding on because it was too many layers of jean for my machine to handle.






The crinkly page has crinkly stuff inside (a Sun Chips bag, actually) but I was worried Bee would tear it if it was sticking out.

I was proud of myself for finally finishing it, and made a few mental notes of how I'd improve it if I made another one, and then, the very next day, I came across THIS tutorial over at Lella Boutique...and I wanted to trash MY texture book and start all over!  Take a look at some of her beautiful pages, complete with texture, but more exciting to look at than simple shapes...

So cute! And she's got a girl one coming soon!

So, I'm now planning a better book for Bee...

I'm blaming my previous lack of inspiration on the fact that Bee has been playing in my crafting room and now it looks like this-
