Corduroys with POCKETS!

I've always made Brooklyn's pants using THIS tutorial from While They Sleep though the crafty blogging is now happening over at Lily and Thistle.  It's a great tutorial and I've made many great pairs of pants from it!

But the easy way wasn't fitting Brooklyn very well anymore...so I took the leap, and made my own pants pattern!  I used a pair of sweats from Target that fit her well, traced, cut, cut, cut, retraced, cut, etc, until I had a pattern...with...POCKETS!  

And not just pockets on the back, but real life, inside the pants pockets on the front!

See them peeking out at the sides?

Brooklyn loves them, so I do too.

Fairly loose fit so she has room to move all around.

High waist band in the back so she can bend and her whole diaper isn't hanging out.

And POCKETS everywhere for her to keep her treasures.

All made from a pair of my old corduroys so they were FREE!
