Realizations

So, I have finally realized and come to grips with the fact:

I am not cut out to be a crafty blogger.

I don't enjoy it!

I LOVE creating. I am completely passionate about MAKING things and doing it MYSELF.

I LOVE those other bloggers who spend hours making tutorials telling me how to make things and posting beautiful pictures and tasty recipes....

But to do it myself makes me STRESSED.

The picture taking along the way, the trying to get Brooklyn to pose, the time spent wording every post, the hours spent trying to think of something else to make...I don't like it...

And there are so many other things in life to LOVE and DO and ENJOY that it's not worth spending hours doing something that doesn't make me happy.

Sorry...

I might post on here from time to time if I want to be all showy about something I've made, but chances are, I won't.

If you want to see what things are catching my creative interest, follow me on Pinterest, or send an email, and I'd love to share what cool things I've found recently!

This sign from Made By Sean says it all.

And I'm tired of caring if anybody cares...

  1. Haha, those are great realizations! I say amen! Even though I *do* enjoy seeing the beautiful things you create. But I totally understand where you're coming from. Life's too short to do things we don't enjoy doing. But if you do happen to post a picture of something cute you made, I'll be happy to see. :)

  2. I would like to follow you on Pinterest (I am not really sure how it works.) Can you send me an invite, so I can join? I have enjoyed seeing the things you do, but I also understand that it is a lot of work to constantly be posting. You can always post things on your family blog!

  3. sad...sad day for me but I'm happy for you and totally understandable because I'm the same way. I will probably be one of those people emailing you every here and there though to see what's cooking :)
